Create or join a team
A team is an account your own wallet owns. Create one, invite people, or join by link.
A team is a Nuntio account of your own: a NuntioAccount and an ApprovalQueue on Monad, created by Nuntio's team factory and owned by your wallet. You set every spender's policy on it and decide every request filed on it. No Nuntio server key can act for your team.
#Create a team
#Name it
Choose Create a team on the welcome screen, or from the Teams section of the sidebar, and give it a name.
#Watch it set up
Nuntio sends two transactions from your own wallet, with the gas paid for you:
- Create. The factory deploys your account and its approval queue, binds them to each other, seals the account and offers it to you.
- Accept. Your wallet accepts ownership. The team is ready when the account's
owner()is your wallet.
On testnet there is a third step: Nuntio's grant wallet sends the new team $20 of test AUSD, once, while the grant wallet has funds. On mainnet there is no grant. A mainnet team starts at $0, and you add money yourself.
The screen marks each step as it finishes. If setup stops part way, open it again: Nuntio reads the chain first and sends only what is missing. Creating a team never moves your money.
#Next steps
When the team is ready, Nuntio adds you as a spender of it (see Quickstart). Then add money, and invite the people who will spend.
#Limits
| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| Teams you can create | 1 |
| Teams in total, during the beta | 100 |
| Open invite links per team | 5 |
| People waiting to join one team | 50 |
Creating teams can be switched off. If it is, existing teams keep working and the welcome screen says creating is closed.
#Invite people
You can add someone two ways.
With an invite link. On Spenders, make an invite link. It is shown once, so copy it then. It works for 7 days, and you can revoke it at any time. The person opens it, signs in and presses Ask to join. Nothing is sent and no money moves: they appear on your Spenders page as waiting. Add them with their limits and services, or dismiss them.
With a connection code. Ask the person for the connection code on their signed-in Nuntio dashboard (their wallet address), then go to Spenders, choose Add a spender, then A teammate, and paste it.
Either way, adding someone is a grant of their policy and one approveMerchant for each service, all signed by your wallet. See Spenders and policies.
#Join a team
Open the invite link you were sent, sign in, and press Ask to join. You are on the team once the owner adds you with a policy. Until then you cannot pay from it, and nothing has moved. If you are already on the team, the link says so. A revoked link says it no longer works.
#Who is the owner
The owner is whoever owner() names on the team's account, read from the chain every time. Nuntio's database records which team you created and who asked to join, but it never decides who may act as owner. Before any owner action, the server checks that the account was made by the team factory and that its owner is your wallet.
#Switching accounts
If you are on several accounts, the Teams section of the sidebar lists each one: Nuntio's main account if you are on it, teams you own, teams you are on, and on testnet the Sandbox. Choose one to switch. The app remembers your choice.
#Not built yet
- Leaving a team, or handing a team to someone else, from the app.
- More than one team per person.
- AI agents on a team. During the beta, agents run on Nuntio's main account only.
