Nini, the assistant
Type what you want to pay. Nini drafts it, you confirm it, and the contract decides.
Nini turns a sentence into a payment draft. Find it on the Nini page, or type into the Ask Nini box on Home.
Nini never pays anything itself. It has no key, builds no transaction and cannot name an address. It prepares a card that shows exactly what will happen, and nothing is sent until you press the button on that card.
#What you can ask
Pay for something.
- "Pay Acme Inference API $5 for credits" (a test service, on testnet)
- "Pay Northwind Market Data $10 for market data" (also on testnet)
If something is missing, Nini asks for just that piece, and you answer without retyping the rest. For example, it asks how much, or which of two services you meant.
Ask about your account.
- "How much can I spend?" Nini answers with what you have left this period and your cap per payment.
- "Show my recent payments."
- "Is anything waiting for approval?"
- "What can I pay?" Nini lists your approved services.
Set up an agent. Agents are in beta: only Nuntio's team can do this, on Nuntio's own account, where Nini prepares a plan card for an agent that pays on a date or on repeat. On a team account, Nini says plainly that agents are not available on team accounts yet. See AI agents.
#How a draft becomes a payment
- Code reads the amount from your sentence. Nini's model is never asked to choose or work out a figure.
- A model picks the service from the services registered on this network, and nothing else.
- Code decides what kind of draft it is. A service on your approved list becomes a payment draft. A registered service that is not on your list becomes a draft request for your owner's approval, never a payment.
- The registry gives the payee. Nini never supplies one.
- You check the card and confirm it. The payment then goes through the normal payment steps, and the contract decides.
#Why Nini can never change where money goes
- A draft has no field for a recipient. A made-up payee cannot even be written down.
- A sentence that contains an address is stopped before any model sees it. Nini answers that it pays registered services by name and never pays an address you type.
- The payee comes from the service registry on chain, and the contract looks it up again when it pays.
- Nini's reply is checked against the locked facts. If it names an address, a different amount, a different service or another currency, says the money has already moved, or gives an instruction, the reply is thrown away and a plain fixed sentence is shown instead.
- Even if every check above failed, the contract would still refuse anything outside your policy.
#When Nini asks you instead
Nini asks a question rather than guess when your sentence:
- has no amount
- has more than one amount
- uses another currency (accounts pay in US dollars only)
- contains an address
- could mean more than one service, or matches none
Each of these answers says that nothing was proposed and no money moved.
#When Nini cannot answer
Nini says what went wrong, and offers Try again only when trying again can help:
- Your daily limit. Nini says when it can draft again, in your time, and links to the Pay screen, where you can still pay by hand.
- The assistant is out of credit, misconfigured or switched off. Nini says so. Trying again cannot help until it is fixed, so there is no Try again.
- The assistant was too slow or could not be reached. Nini says so, and Try again is safe.
If the assistant could not answer and you named a service exactly as it is listed, with one dollar amount ("Pay Acme Inference API $5"), Nini matches it without the assistant and says so above the card. The amount is read by the same code as always, the service comes from the same registered list, and the policy check and the contract still decide. Anything less certain stays unanswered. No money moves until you confirm.
#If you have no policy yet
Nini still lists the services registered on the network, each marked "Not on your policy", and says what has to happen first. If you own the account, that means adding yourself as a spender. If you do not, an owner has to add you.
#Limits
- Up to 30 drafts in any 24 hours per person, counted from your first, and 6 a minute.
- Nini drafts against the policy on the account you have open, the same account a payment is sent from.
- Nini matches services by meaning. Always check the service name on the card before you confirm.
