FAQ

Short answers to the questions people ask first.

Does Nuntio charge a fee?

Not today. The account contract sends the full amount of each payment to the payee, and it has no fee in it. Nuntio pays the network fee for you through Privy's gas sponsorship.

Who holds my money?

The account contract on Monad holds it, not Nuntio's database. A team's account is owned by the embedded wallet of the person who created it, and every owner action is signed by that wallet. No Nuntio server key can act for a team. Nuntio's own main account is different: it is owned by Nuntio's protocol admin key.

Do I need MON, a wallet app or a seed phrase?

No. You sign in with Google or email and get an embedded wallet. There is no seed phrase to write down and nothing to install. Nuntio pays the network fees, so you never hold MON.

What happens if Nuntio goes down?

Balances and policies live in the contracts on Monad, which do not depend on Nuntio's servers to keep them. While the app is down, nobody can pay or decide a request through it, and agents stop paying while the worker is down. A scheduled agent payment that is more than 6 hours late is skipped, not paid late.

Can an AI agent overspend?

No. Two separate locks stop it. Privy refuses to sign anything from the agent's wallet except a payment from its own account up to its cap, or a request naming itself. Then the account contract checks the agent's allowance, cap, number of payments, expiry and approved services on every payment. The contract decides. The owner can pause or revoke an agent at any time.

Can Nini send money somewhere I did not choose?

No. A draft has no field for an address, a sentence containing an address is stopped before any model sees it, and the payee always comes from the service registry. Nini never sends anything: you confirm the card, and the contract decides.

What happens when a payment is over my limit?

The contract refuses it and nothing moves. The app usually tells you before you send. If the limit is a budget, such as your cap or what is left this period, you can ask your owner to approve it. The request lives for one day. See Approvals.

Is Nuntio audited?

No. The contracts have not been independently audited. They went through internal adversarial reviews, a re-review and a live migration on testnet. Use amounts you can afford to lose.

Which stablecoin does Nuntio use?

AUSD, Agora's dollar stablecoin, with 6 decimals. On Monad mainnet its address is 0x00000000eFE302BEAA2b3e6e1b18d08D69a9012a. Each account is fixed to AUSD when it is created. Send only AUSD on Monad mainnet to a Nuntio account.

Are the merchants real?

Not yet. On mainnet the things to buy today are AI compute on 0G and Monad data bought over x402, sold by Nuntio's own gateway and labelled "run by Nuntio", so a payment for a run goes to Nuntio. Outside merchants come next. The demo services Nuntio ran before, which paid its own wallet, are retired. See Merchants.

Can I add an AI agent to my team?

Not yet. Agents are in beta and run only on Nuntio's own account, where only Nuntio's team can set them up. On a team account, the app and Nini say agents are not available there yet.

How do I take money out of my team's account?

The contract lets the owner withdraw the balance to the owner's own wallet. The app does not have a withdraw screen yet.

Why Monad?

Paying a service for each request only makes sense where blocks are fast and fees are tiny. Monad mainnet produces a block every 300 ms and blocks are final after about 600 ms. The first agent payment on mainnet took 4.5 seconds from the agent deciding to pay to a confirmed receipt, and its gas cost about $0.0013, paid by Nuntio.

Can I use Nuntio on testnet?

Yes, at testnet.nuntio.finance. Money there is test AUSD with no value. Join the Sandbox to pay with free test dollars, or create a team: new testnet teams get $20 of test AUSD once, while the grant wallet has funds. See Try it on testnet.

What is the load test on the testnet stats page?

It is our own load test on Monad testnet, run by the Nuntio team on 11 October 2026, not real use. Our runner drove 100 teams, 274 policies and 3,285 payments, looping $1,002,047 of test AUSD from a $6,000 float. The testnet stats page shows it in its own panel, kept out of the real-use figures, and lists every transaction at testnet.nuntio.finance/stats/load-test.
